Why did I receive a notification regarding exceeding Fair Use Limits?

Please note that Talkatone does not offer unlimited out-of-network sms service or calls.

You should have received an email from us warning about FAIR USE LIMITS. These refer to an effort to curb abuse of our system, which could potentially become overloaded. It also limits spamming.

Please note that Fair Use Limits will activate if:

A) Too many text messages are sent in too short a time period; or 
B) If too many text messages are sent, and you do not receive incoming text messages; or
C) Too many inbound calls are received and no outbound calls are made; making too many calls in too short a time period; or

D) You have exceeded your daily limit of sms/mms.

 

You should be aware that if you exceed the Fair Use Limits for inbound calling, your inbound calls will be sent straight to your Talkatone Voicemail until your fair use limits are reset.

You should also be aware that if you exceed the Fair Use Limits for texting, your ability to send texts will be suspended until your Fair Use Limits are reset.

Unfortunately, you will be unable to SEND SMS/MMS from your account for up to 24 hours.

Please note transferring subscriptions is not allowed, and only one subscription is allowed per account.
